Denman's land information is scattered across at least five public systems — BC Assessment, the Islands Trust, the Comox Valley Regional District, the Land Title and Survey Authority, and the BC Data Catalogue. Answering a simple question about a property has meant hopping between websites.

So we pulled it together. There's now a public page for every parcel on the island (browse the map), showing its zoning under Land Use Bylaw 186, Agricultural Land Reserve status, area, ownership type, assessed value, and an estimated property tax — with a link to the public source behind each fact.

Our principles: everything is drawn from public records; every fact is cited; we present the record and clearly label our estimates rather than asserting conclusions; and there's a correction link on every page. DenmanIsland.co is a free, non-commercial, public-interest resource.

This is a foundation. More is coming — building footprints, permit history, and island-wide analysis — all in the open.
