At the August 24 Local Trust Committee meeting, one speaker asked that second reading of proposed Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw changes be delayed until after the public hearing, citing limited awareness of the proposals and concern about removing the density bank.[1]

The planner said the public could submit comments until the public hearing closed and that changes could still be made after second reading.[1]

Another speaker said changes were coming to a September 15 public hearing, urged residents to support measures for affordable housing and said the project needed to be finished.[1]

The July 11 meeting minutes describe proposed changes including replacing the density cap and density bank with policy focused on affordable secondary suites and rezoning for multi-unit housing; they also say the proposed changes reduce total density by 100 dwelling units.[2]
