The draft Development Approval Information Bylaw No. 149, 2013, would set information requirements for development applications involving proposed riparian-area regulations; the Denman Island Local Trust Committee approved revisions and sent the draft to the Executive Committee for consideration at the March 2013 Trust Council meeting.[1]
Trustees discussed concerns that the process could be complex and costly for landowners, and that maps needed for development permits were not available on Denman Island.[1]
Acting Regional Planning Manager Courtenay Simpson said maintaining Trust Council budget funds for Riparian Area Regulation mapping was important.[1]
The committee also directed staff to send the draft bylaw and an accompanying request for decision to the Executive Committee.[1]
