The Denman Island Local Trust Committee removes exception 4.4.2 h) from draft Bylaw No. 213 and requests staff to proceed with statutory referrals on the amended bylaw. [1] Planner Rob Milne says the exception could have a detrimental effect on Denman Island’s environmental value given the lakes that exist here. [1]
The committee gives first reading to Bylaw No. 212, an amendment to the Denman Island Official Community Plan, and Bylaw No. 213, an amendment to the Denman Island Land Use Bylaw. [1]
The committee also endorses the project charter for a review of visitor accommodation regulations and requests a staff report and draft bylaw for consideration at its next meeting. [1]
The committee directs staff to prepare draft bylaws for an application involving the transfer of approximately 2.545 hectares to the Trust Fund Board for protection as a nature reserve and the transfer of two associated densities to a receiving property. [1]
The committee issues a development variance permit and development permit for a proposed bridge and driveway, including a reduction of the minimum setback to the natural boundary of a stream from 15 metres to 0.0 metres. [1]
