The Denman Island Local Trust Committee gives first reading to two bylaws for application DE-RZ-2015.1 concerning 2100 Crescent Road, and requests referrals for review and comment. ^[1]

The committee gives first reading to Bylaw No. 219, amending the Denman Island Official Community Plan, and Bylaw No. 220, amending the Denman Island Land Use Bylaw. ^[1]

Trustees say the proposal’s ecological value warrants advancing the application, while noting that community views will be considered during the process. ^[1]

The committee requests that the bylaws be referred to the agencies, organizations and First Nations listed in the staff report. It also confirms that the bylaws are not contrary to or at variance with the Islands Trust Policy Statement. ^[1]

The committee recommends that Planner Rob Milne participate in the first Advisory Planning Commission meeting on the referral, if possible at a time that allows him to return home the same day. ^[1]
