The Islands Trust Council is holding its quarterly meeting at the Denman Island Community Hall from September 12 to 14, according to its minutes. ^[1]

Denman Island local trustee David Critchley welcomed the council and spoke about the island’s Indigenous history; trustee Laura Busheikin also welcomed the council and spoke about accommodation, local festivals, businesses and farming. ^[1]

The council’s listed work-program priorities include Islands Trust Act amendments, oil spill and shipping safety, Crown Land protocol agreements and First Nations relationship building. ^[1]
