Islands Trust Council held its quarterly meeting at the Denman Island Community Hall from September 12 to 14.^[1]

Denman local trustee David Critchley welcomed the council and spoke about the island’s Indigenous history. Trustee Laura Busheikin also welcomed the council and spoke about accommodation, local festivals, businesses and farming.^[1]

The council’s listed top priorities included Islands Trust Act amendments, oil spill and shipping safety, Crown Land protocol agreements and First Nations relationship building.^[1]
