The Denman Island Local Trust Committee requests that staff refer Proposed Bylaw No. 225 to all aquaculture tenure holders in the Denman Island Local Trust Area, with a covering letter explaining the bylaw’s intent and limitations and inviting feedback. [1]
The letter is also to include educational materials about the object of the Islands Trust and the negative impacts of driving on the beach. [1]
The committee asks staff to bring back a draft amendment to the bylaw’s Information Note to clarify its intention. [1]
Proposed Bylaw No. 225 concerns prohibiting vehicle and ground-based machinery use in the W1, W3 and W4 zones. [1]
The committee also approves three readings of Bylaw No. 227, as amended to change the word “Gabriola” to “Denman” in item 27, and forwards it to the Secretary of the Islands Trust for approval by the Executive Committee. [1]
