The Denman Island Local Trust Committee asked staff to develop draft terms of reference for information about the proposed seniors affordable housing project’s water supply and sewage disposal systems, and their potential effects on local groundwater. [1]

The committee also asked staff to contact the Vancouver Island Health Authority about concerns with wastewater treatment recommendations for the project at 3730 Denman Road. [1]

The Denman Community Land Trust Association raised concerns that freshwater availability and sewage disposal issues in a staff report could unnecessarily delay its volunteer-driven project, according to the meeting minutes. [1]

The committee confirmed that the application could use densities from the Official Community Plan’s 5% allowance if it proceeds, and asked staff to compile information needed to create draft rezoning bylaws. [1]
