The Denman Island Local Trust Committee asked staff to develop terms of reference for information on how a proposed seniors affordable housing project could affect local groundwater, including through its water supply and sewage disposal systems.[1]
The Denman Community Land Trust Association raised concerns that freshwater availability and sewage disposal issues could unnecessarily delay its volunteer-driven project, according to the meeting minutes.[1]
The committee also asked staff to contact the Vancouver Island Health Authority about concerns with wastewater-treatment recommendations and to compile information needed to prepare draft rezoning bylaws.[1]
The minutes record those requests; they do not record a rezoning decision.[1]
