The Denman Island Local Trust Committee requested staff to develop draft terms of reference for information about the proposed seniors affordable housing project’s water supply and sewage disposal systems and their potential effects on local groundwater. [1]

The committee also asked staff to contact the Vancouver Island Health Authority about concerns with wastewater-treatment recommendations and to compile information needed for draft rezoning bylaws. [1]

At the November meeting, Denman Community Land Trust Association applicant Harlene Holm raised concerns that freshwater availability and sewage-disposal issues could delay the volunteer-driven project. [1]

The committee’s minutes record requests for further information and draft bylaws; they do not record approval of a rezoning. [1]
