A Ukrainian Orthodox Christmas celebration took place at the Back Hall on Saturday, January 6, with traditional dishes brought by friends, according to a Grapevine account.[1]
The account says the gathering moved from a private home to the Back Hall eight years ago after it grew too large. The meal included cabbage rolls, crepes, homemade garlic sausage and borscht.[1]
The account describes the event as a feast and celebration, and says the organizer felt it provided a Christmas for people who did not have one.[1]
