The Denman Island Local Trust Committee discussed water and sewage information for the Denman Community Land Trust Association’s proposed seniors’ affordable housing project at its February meeting. [1]

The minutes say the committee’s staff report recommended that the applicant provide information requested in a draft Water Assessment Toolkit terms of reference to help protect groundwater resources. [1]

The applicant said much information was already in place, including water-quality testing, and raised concern about a 72-hour pumping test if required; the applicant’s environmental consultant also described the draft requirements as onerous. [1]

The minutes record that trustees discussed the draft terms of reference and the need to clarify the categorization of the groundwater source. [1]
