The Denman farmers market held its first official market of the year last Saturday, with 16 or 17 vendors set up, according to a report in this week’s Grapevine.[1]

The report said the market was supported by the community and that local meat, vegetables and garden plant starts were among the items available.[1]

A separate notice in the issue lists a Mother’s Day plant sale at the farmers market on May 12, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.[1]
