The Islands Trust announced that housing needs assessments were complete for the entire Islands Trust Area, including Denman Island.^[1]

The announcement said the assessments examine community demographics, incomes and housing stock to help quantify housing need and available housing.^[1]

Islands Trust Council Chair Peter Luckham said the assessments illustrated difficult housing situations in the Trust Area, including people lacking housing security and others paying more than the recommended maximum of 30 per cent of their income for housing.^[1]
