A community potluck and fireside gathering with K’ómoks First Nation is scheduled for Sunday, October 14, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Denman Activity Centre. The event notice says the evening includes a presentation by K’ómoks First Nations’ archaeologist Jesse Morin about KFN history and a shared supper.[1]
The notice invites community members to bring a side dish and dress for the weather. It also lists the Denman Island Trustees as welcoming the community.[1]
A separate community notice says the gathering includes a traditional welcome from a K’ómoks elder, with a bonfire at the Community Hall field afterward, weather permitting.[1]
