A staff report presented to the Denman Island Local Trust Committee on November 20 recommended that the Denman Housing Association provide more information on groundwater supply, sewage disposal and protection of environmentally sensitive areas for its rezoning application.[1]
The application seeks to reduce density on a donor parcel and increase density on a receiver parcel from one dwelling to a maximum of twenty-five, including twenty rent-controlled affordable homes, the minutes say.[1]
Speaking for the association, Simon Palmer told trustees that approvals were needed by June 2019 under conditions of its BC Housing grant.[1] He asked the committee to expedite the application and to limit the requested information to the project site, according to the minutes.[1]
