A proposal to increase the permitted density on a receiver parcel to a maximum of 25 dwellings, including 20 rent-controlled affordable homes, was before the Denman Island Local Trust Committee in November.[1]
At the November 20 meeting, staff recommended that the applicant provide further information about groundwater supply, sewage disposal and protection of environmentally sensitive areas.[1]
The association’s representative told the committee that approvals were needed by June 2019 under conditions of its BC Housing grant, and asked trustees to expedite the application.[1]
The minutes record the request for additional information and the applicant’s response; they do not record a decision approving the rezoning.[1]
