Denman Green is inviting Denman Island residents to hear the current status of its affordable housing project at the Denman Housing Association’s annual general meeting on Saturday, January 26.[1]
The meeting is scheduled for 4 to 5 p.m. in the Activity Centre lounge.[1]
Residents can become association members by providing their name and address; the notice says no dues are payable.[1]
At its November meeting, the Denman Island Local Trust Committee heard that the association’s rezoning application sought to increase a receiver parcel to a maximum of twenty-five dwellings, including twenty rent-controlled affordable homes, and that staff recommended more information on groundwater, sewage disposal and environmentally sensitive areas.[2]
