At the June 6 Denman Local Trust Committee meeting, members of the public objected to further consideration of the proposed Bylaw Enforcement Notification bylaw before an Official Community Plan review and called for a public hearing, according to the minutes.[1]

The minutes record that the committee gave the bylaw first, second and third readings and forwarded it to the Islands Trust Executive Committee for approval.[1] They also say staff proposed a standing resolution addressing concerns about unintended displacement of vulnerable individuals and households.[1]

The minutes record that Wesley Ritter opposed adoption of the proposed Meeting Procedures Bylaw at that meeting.[1] Trustees said community input had been received and considered, and that features had been included to address housing concerns.[1]
