The Denman Island Readers and Writers Festival is scheduled to begin on July 20, according to a column by George Fetherling in this week’s Grapevine.^[1]

Fetherling wrote that the festival began in 2003 and named Arthur Black, Anne Cameron, Gail Anderson-Dargatz, Sheryl McFarlane and Wendy Morton among its early participants.^[1]

The column describes the festival as part of a wider circuit of book events and says Fetherling is looking forward to his first exposure to the Denman festival.^[1]
