Young participants in the Eco Dfndrs Camp are scheduled to present their films at a free public screening at the Community Hall on Saturday, August 17.[1]

The newsletter reports that 17 students aged 12 to 15 took part in the camp, which ran August 10 to 18 and included film-production workshops and sessions with local environmental organizations.[1]

One film, “The Denman Dilemma,” is described as a docu-drama about plastic from the ferry cable, with interviews with local people.[1]

The newsletter says the camp was held at Elkhaven and funded by a private donor. Tony Aly, who publishes this paper, is involved with Camp Denman, also known as Elkhaven and Elk Haven, and has a personal interest in land-use and bylaw-enforcement matters affecting that site.[1]
