The Denman Island Local Trust Committee gave first readings to two amendment bylaws concerning the Denman Housing Association’s proposed project at its November 7 meeting. [1]

The minutes say the applicant provided new information that might change staff recommendations, including uncertainty about a planned Comox Valley Regional District bulk-water supply and investigation of off-island bulk water. The applicant asked the committee to exempt the application from a Trust Council policy. [1]

The committee gave first reading to Bylaw No. 235, an Official Community Plan amendment, and Bylaw No. 236, a Land Use Bylaw amendment. It also referred the proposed bylaws to First Nations, local governments and agencies for comment. [1]
