A volunteer transportation program for seniors on Denman and Hornby is recruiting Denman Island drivers, according to a notice by program coordinator Dominique Husereau in this week’s newsletter.[1]
The notice says volunteers can offer rides on-island, off-island or both, and that the program provides transportation for appointments, shopping and social events.[1]
Training for volunteers is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, at the Seniors Activity Center, from 9:30am to 12pm, the notice says.[1]
