The Denman Community Hall is closed until restrictions are lifted, with no date set for events to resume, according to a notice from Lyndsey Jennings to renters. The notice says renters with bookings through June 30 will receive refunds or prorated refunds, and deposit cheques will be destroyed.[1]
The Denman Activity Centre is also closed until further notice, including its gym, fitness centre and lounge. The Denman Seniors and Museum Society cancelled its Easter barbecue and monthly seniors’ lunches, and the Grapevine staff cancelled the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt.[1]
The Tsk Tsk Revue postponed its Salish Sea Tour. Ima’s Kitchen said it would close starting March 20, while its bread would remain available at the General Store.[1]
The Denman Island Medical Clinic notice says people with specified COVID-19 concerns or symptoms can come for testing and are expected to self-isolate at home while awaiting results, listed as three to four days. The General Store asked customers to practise social distancing and offered to assemble orders for phone pickup or delivery.[1]
