Denman Island General Store staff have introduced changes to shopping and grocery delivery as health guidance evolves during the COVID-19 situation.[1]
The store asks customers to shop alone and keep a six-foot (two-metre) distance; it has marked the floor near the till and installed hand-sanitizing stations and a plexiglass shield.[1]
Customers can place grocery orders by phone or email, with options for porch pickup, in-store pickup or delivery at no charge, the store notice says.[1]
The notice says customer-supplied bags are no longer permitted under the latest directive from the Vancouver Island Health Authority, and the store prefers credit or debit cards to cash.[1]
