The Denman Conservancy’s Birdathon is inviting islanders to take part, with donations supporting habitat work by conservancies on Denman and Hornby, according to an article by Ken Madsen in this week’s Grapevine.[1]
The article names Erika Bland as the event’s Feature Birder and says people can sponsor her whether or not they know her personally.[1]
The Birdathon also includes visual art and bird poetry competitions, as well as a photography category for a bird in an unusual pose; art submissions are due May 22.[1]
