Public comments recorded in the Denman Island Local Trust Committee’s January minutes show differing views on the Denman Community Land Trust Association’s seniors affordable-housing project and the Denman Housing Association’s Denman Green proposal. [1]

On the seniors project, comments included support for site-specific zoning and a request that the committee not delay the initiative by adding requirements. [1]

On Denman Green, comments raised concerns about water supply, consultation, affordability and fire risk. The minutes also record support for referring the application to the Advisory Planning Commission to gather community input. [1]

The minutes record these as comments from members of the public; they do not establish the claims made in those comments as findings. [1]
