Heron Rocks Friendship Centre is planning a modified version of its annual plant sale for May 24 and 25, offering tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers.[1]
The newsletter says the growers had started their seeds before COVID-19 restrictions took effect, and the centre decided to make the plants available in a safe way.[1]
To avoid crowds, each grower plans to sell plants at their own location, with one person at a time at each plant table and physical distancing requested for people waiting.[1]
The sale is scheduled for 11 to 2 on both days; the newsletter lists one-gallon tomatoes at $5, with other plants priced at $3 and $4.[1]
