The Denman Island Seed Savers Group is supplying the community school’s seed bank with free seeds for islanders who want to grow their own food, according to a report by Veronica Timmons.[1]
The report says the group formed after a seed-saving workshop 11 years ago and has been saving and swapping seeds for 11 years.[1]
The Denman Island Growers & Producers Alliance, formed 10 years ago, has pursued the goal of “Denman Feeding Denman” through programs including equipment rental, workshops and the Farmers Market.[1]
