Denman Island recorded 95 species in the Two Islands Birdathon, while Hornby recorded 74, the event report said.[1]

The Birdathon took place May 22 and 23. Organizers had cancelled the speakers, birding walks and wrap-up potluck because of COVID-19, but participants still took part in the event.[1]

The report said the Denman Conservancy won the Pacific-slope Flycatcher trophy. It also named Erika Bland the winner of the fossil-fuel-free category, with 67 species identified while walking and cycling around Denman.[1]

The report said the prize for the most money raised per capita was still to be determined in a couple of weeks.[1]
