Residents expressed opposing views about the Denman Green proposal during the Denman Island Local Trust Committee’s May 19 electronic meeting.[1]

The minutes record objections citing water use, the proposed increase of five lots on the remaining property, the project’s fit with the island’s character and the possibility of setting a precedent for further development.[1]

The minutes also record a request that any community information meeting or public hearing not be held electronically, alongside support for electronic meetings if in-person public meetings could not be held during the pandemic.[1]
