Benjamin North Rempel died on June 16, according to a notice in the June 25 Islands Grapevine.[1]
The notice says he had been treated for an aggressive Ewing osteosarcoma for 16 months and was surrounded by family and friends when he died.[1]
It says Rempel wanted a celebration of life and held one the Wednesday before his death, with family and friends spending time with him.[1]
The newsletter also congratulated Denman Island’s 2020 graduates and printed the names Gerrad Graham, Tai McGillivray, Liam Harrington and Alex Larose.[1]
