A fundraiser for Sylvie Marcil is seeking donations through a GoFundMe campaign and at the Denman General Store, according to a notice in this week’s issue. ^[1]

The notice, signed by Mary Hicks, says Marcil was in critical condition in emergency a few weeks ago and underwent major surgery. It says another surgery is scheduled and that recovery will require several months of rehabilitation. ^[1]

The notice says donations are also intended to help with living expenses and to complete Marcil’s home before she returns. ^[1]
