The Denman Island Local Trust Committee discussed the Denman Community Land Trust Association’s rezoning application at its July 7 meeting, with staff reporting that work was proceeding on a housing agreement requiring Agricultural Land Commission approval.[1]
Staff said they were preparing options for referral responses and zone regulations requested at the committee’s May meeting.[1]
The minutes record that the applicant’s submission asked the committee to reconsider drafting a covenant, accept a three-metre setback and clarify requirements with the applicant.[1]
Trustees said their goal was to work with the applicant’s proposed setbacks and that they wanted to see the project move forward; they also urged the association to continue the process.[1]
