Two Roads Farm lost 60–75% of its wholesale trade to off-island restaurants and grocers after pandemic restrictions and restaurant closures, the Grapevine reported.[1]
The farm adapted its produce stand at the recycling centre with masks, physical distancing and hand sanitizer, and added an online store through Local Line. Its new farm stand, an overhaul of an existing cabin, opened in early June.[1]
The article said the farm contributes produce to the Denman Food Bank each week and provides employment for one full-time and two part-time Denman residents, as well as two full-time students through a Canada Summer Jobs grant.[1]
