The Denman Island Community Education Society says it will not use Community School facilities for its community programs, and will instead hold them outdoors to reduce the possibility of COVID-19 transmission.[1]

The society says it will look at renting indoor spaces as the weather gets cold. Food Bank service and computer access will continue in the portable beside the Community School, according to its notice.[1]

DICES also says it will not publish a course brochure at this time, and will share information about courses and workshops through local newspapers and its newsletter.[1]

The society reports that its summer programs filled up and took place outdoors under a COVID-19 protocol approved by the Comox Valley School District.[1]
