The Denman Island Tea Company scheduled a customer appreciation day at its tea and coffee trailer beside the Gravelly Bay ferry terminal on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.[1]

The company planted 450 tea plants on three acres of leased farmland this year, with another 100 plants ready to be planted the following week, the newsletter reported.[1]

The trailer tracked approximately 950 visits a month during the high tourism season from June through September, and the owners expected it to provide three to five local jobs next year.[1]

The company’s regular trailer hours were scheduled for Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.[1]
