A group of local resident volunteers is organizing the Denman Island Free Store’s reopening, set for the start of October, according to a notice in this week’s Grapevine.[1]
The notice says the store will limit the number of people inside and use a single point of entry and exit. It also describes regular sanitizing and a quarantine protocol for donations.[1]
Shoppers are asked to use hand sanitizer, follow physical-distancing measures and avoid shopping if they feel unwell or someone in their household has COVID-19. The notice says face masks are strongly recommended but not required.[1]
The notice says future donation drop-off dates will be announced shortly and that bottle-return donations at Recycling will help fund reopening expenses.[1]
