The Denman Island Local Trust Committee discussed the Denman Green affordable-housing proposal at its November 3 meeting, after the applicant asked trustees to advance the rezoning application and schedule community consultation before the next meeting.[1]

The minutes say Island Health staff had met with the applicant and provided written support for the proposed water source, while the Denman Housing Association was working to address Island Health’s requirements for water sufficiency.[1]

Trustees said they were willing to hold a special meeting if appropriate after receiving Island Health’s water-source approval for review.[1]

The meeting minutes record discussion of the application, but do not record a decision to advance it or schedule community consultation.[1]
