The Denman Housing Association told the Denman Island Local Trust Committee on November 3 that it had received written support from Island Health staff for the Denman Green project’s source water and was working to resolve Island Health’s requirements for water sufficiency.[1]
The applicant asked the committee to advance the rezoning application and schedule community consultation before its next meeting, citing financing deadlines, according to the minutes.[1]
Trustees said they were willing to hold a special meeting if appropriate after the Island Health water-source approval was submitted for their review.[1]
The minutes record that the committee had not yet considered first reading of the proposed bylaws at that point: staff presented amended proposed bylaws and asked trustees to consider first reading.[1]
