The Denman Island Community Education Society says its Christmas hamper program delivered 35 hampers filled with food and gifts. [1]
The society thanked more than a hundred Denman Islanders who donated time, money or gifts, and said the packing and delivery day went smoothly with volunteers’ help. [1]
DICES also thanked the General Store team, the Community Hall, Evan Penner, Denman Island Hardware Store, Abraxas and the Times Colonist Christmas Fund for their contributions. [1]
The society says Executive Director Emily Guinane plans to take a year off for parental leave and it is seeking a temporary executive director. Applications are due Jan. 25. [1]
