The Denman Island Local Trust Committee held a public hearing on March 15 on proposed bylaws for the Denman Community Land Trust Association’s Pepper Lane seniors affordable housing project. The hearing followed a community information meeting, and the minutes say trustees would review comments received before the hearing closed.^[1]

At the March 15 meeting, the applicant requested changes including increasing the maximum floor area from 60 m² to 65 m² and revising proposed housing-agreement language on maximum rent. The minutes describe these as requests for consideration, not approved changes.^[1]

At a March 2 information meeting, the planner described a proposal for eight units of seniors affordable housing on a 1.62-hectare property near the village. The minutes say the application sought changes to the Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw, along with a housing agreement.^[2]

The March 16 regular-meeting minutes record a separate delegation presenting a proposed new site for a Denman Green affordable housing project, with plans to accommodate 20 units. The delegation reported that a rezoning application had been submitted.^[3]
