Denman’s Local Trust Committee held a community information meeting and public hearing on March 15 concerning proposed bylaws for the Denman Community Land Trust Association’s Pepper Lane seniors affordable-housing project.[1]
The minutes say the applicant requested changes including increasing the maximum floor area from 60 square metres to 65 square metres and revising housing-agreement language on maximum rent.[1]
At a March 2 information meeting, the planner described a proposal to subdivide a 1.62-hectare property into two lots, with one lot intended for eight units of seniors affordable housing and the other retaining its existing single-dwelling residential use.[2]
The March 16 regular-meeting minutes also record a separate presentation about a proposed new site for a Denman Green affordable-housing project, with plans for 20 units; the presenter said a rezoning application had been submitted.[3]
