The Comox Valley Regional District is seeking qualifications from a contractor to operate a proposed Denman Island community bus service, with a start planned for this summer. ^[1]

A notice from Denman Works said the district’s request for qualifications closes May 27. Denman Works said it would provide ancillary support and work with the district to identify details such as routes and schedules. ^[1]

The March 16 Local Trust Committee minutes record the regional district’s allocation of $100,000 for the next three years for the Hornby Island bus and the Denman Island bus pilot project. ^[2]
