The Denman Housing Association asked the Denman Island Local Trust Committee to advance its rezoning application through third reading and ministry review, conditional on receiving a water licence, the May 4 meeting minutes say.[1]
Staff said a report on preliminary items was expected at the next committee meeting and suggested trustees could consider next steps then.[1]
A trustee said early review of information about available water quality and quantity would help inform whether to give readings before a water licence was received. Simon Palmer, speaking for the association, said water and wastewater reports were being finalized and indicated the property could sustain the project’s needs without conflict; he said the reports would be sent to planning staff when complete.[1]
