The Denman Island Local Trust Committee discussed a request from the Denman Housing Association to move its rezoning application forward as quickly as possible, including through third reading and ministry review if the association received a water licence.[1]
Staff said a report on progress with preliminary items was expected at the next committee meeting, and suggested trustees could then consider direction on next steps.[1]
A trustee said early review of information about available water quality and quantity would help inform whether readings could be given before a water licence was received.[1]
Simon Palmer, speaking for the applicant, said water and wastewater reports were being finalized and indicated the property could sustain the project’s needs without conflict; he said the reports would be sent to planning staff when complete.[1]
