Arts Denman is presenting “Murmuration,” an installation of bird models by Jean Cockburn at the Denman Island Arts Centre.[1]
The Grapevine reports that Arts Denman received a BC Arts Council grant earlier this year to commission artists, and that Murmuration is the second completed commission out of 11.[1]
The installation combines fabric, papier-mâché, painted and collaged birds, and origami cranes, with some strings of cranes lit by LED lights. The notice says it will be up all summer.[1]
