A Denman Island bus service is scheduled to launch July 1 as a pilot project run by the Comox Valley Regional District in partnership with Denman Works. The service is planned for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional holiday Mondays, until Labour Day, Sept. 6.[1]
The route is scheduled to circle the island, travelling from Denman West along Denman Road and East Road to Gravelly Bay, then returning by Lacon-McFarland. Planned stops are Denman West terminal, downtown, the Guesthouse, the Farmers’ Market and Gravelly Bay.[1]
A fall service depends on the summer response, remaining funds and findings from an independent transport survey to be conducted by Denman Works.[1]
