Denman Island Marine Stewards will take part in a province-funded shoreline cleanup, with beach cleanups on Denman and Hornby scheduled for September.[1]
The Association for Denman Island Marine Stewards is leading the Comox Valley portion of the Central Salish Sea Cleanup, which includes Denman, Hornby and the coastline from Little River to Bowser.[1]
The project team includes Liz Johnston and Beth Janz of ADIMS and Lisa Pierce. The article says vessels and trucking will be funded, while volunteers will collect debris from beaches.[1]
Registration information is scheduled to be posted at the end of August. Residents are asked to report stockpiles of collected debris or major waste on beaches for pickup in September.[1]
